In 1935, we were founded by Türkiye İş Bankası to build Turkey’s glass industry and contribute to the industrial development of the young Republic of Turkey. Starting as a local initiative, our journey of growth has transformed us over the years into a global player in the glass and chemicals sectors.
As the only global company operating in all core areas of the glass industry, we are one of the world’s top five producers in our sectors.
We operate in 13 countries across four continents, including Turkey, Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Russia, Georgia, Egypt, India, and the United States. We play a leading role in the flat glass, glass tableware, glass packaging, chemicals, automotive, glass fiber, mining, energy, and recycling sectors. By placing innovation and technology at the heart of our business and leveraging our capable supply chain, we deliver our products to customers in over 150 countries.
With our 90 years of experience, skilled workforce, and smart use of technology, we are making a difference and moving forward with confidence toward our goal of becoming one of the world’s top three producers in our core business areas, alongside our approximately 23,000 employees.
